Tottenham Hotspur Wiki

Tottenham Hotspur, also called the Spurs, is based in Tottenham, North London. Founded in 1882 as the Hotspur Football Club, they played in the Southern League until they were elected to the Football League Second Division in 1908. They won the FA Cup in 1901, the only non-League club in history to do so.

The team's home colors are white shirts and socks and black shorts, earning them the moniker the "Lilywhites". Away colors are purple shirts and shorts with white trim. The team motto is Audere est Facere (To Dare is to Do) and its emblem is a cockerel atop a football. The Spurs most intense rivalry is with Arsenal.

White Hart Lane stadium is the team's home ground, seating 36,310. They are pursuing a development adjacent to the stadium and are in the process of determining what fans demand in terms of premium packages, food and parking.

The Spurs are currently managed by Harry Redknapp since 2008. They have had one notable achievement of late; they won the League Cup in 2008 and that meant that they'd won a major trophy in each of the past 6 decades, a feat only Manchester United has accomplished.
