Liverpool FC Wiki

Liverpool FC has played at Anfield since its founding in 1892; it was admitted to the Football League 1893. It is the second most successful club in English history. However, their luck has been tainted by two tragedies; in 1985 their fans at Heysel Stadium caused a wall to collapse, killing 39 Juventus supporters. In 1989 at Hillsborough, 96 Liverpool fans died when they were crushed against the perimeter fencing by the crowd.

The team has ongoing rivalries with Everton and Manchester United. Their home colors are all red since 1964; their anthem is "You’ll Never Walk Alone". They are managed by Kenny Dalglish, the first Liverpool manager ever to serve a second term.

Liverpool's first trophy was the Lancashire League which they won in their very first season. The team has won the English League Championship 18 times, 6 League titles, 7 FA Cups, 5 European Cups and 5 Charity Shields. Liverpool has finished below 14th only a dozen times in 95 seasons. The team has more top-flight wins than any other English FC and second highest average finishing position. They rank 4th in Europe and 7th in the world, having won the most international titles of any English team.
