Valencia Club de Futbol is also known as Los Che and Valencia. They are one of the largest football clubs in Spain and also one of the most successful. They are currently #3, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. Valencia is one of only 3 Spanish clubs to win five or more continental trophies. Founded in 1919, Valencia has played at the 55,000 seat Estadio Mestalla since 1923. Construction of the new 75,000 seat Nou Mestalla will be finished in 2013 when the team will move in. The move hinges on the club improving its current finances.

Valencia's home colors are white shirts and socks with black shorts while away colors are all black with white trim. They have accumulated 6 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey trophies, 2 Fairs Cups (the predecessor to the UEFA Cup), 1 UEFA Cup, 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and 2 UEFA Super Cups.

The team is managed by Unai Emery Etxegoien, a former let midfielder from the Segunda Division. Their anthem, entitled "Pasodoble", was composed by Ramon Gimeno Gil and was presented during Valencia's 75th anniversary in 1993. Valencia has an ongoing rivalry with teams Levante, Hercules and Villareal.
