FC Barcelona Wiki

Futbol Club Barcelona, or just Barcelona, is a Spanish football club and the current Spanish and European champions. They are one of only 3 clubs that have never been relegated. Founded in 1899 by a group of multinational footballers, their motto is "Mes que un club" (More than a club). It has annual revenue of €398 million, making it the second wealthiest football club in the world.

The team plays at Camp Nou, built in 1957. The stadium eventually needed an upgrade to meet UEFA standards, an expense that was met partly by selling inscribed bricks. Thus, there is actually a brick inscribed with the name of Real Madrid chairman Santiago Bernabeu, a supporter of Franco FC.

Barcelona has won 21 La Liga titles, 25 Spanish Cups, 9 Spanish Super Cups, 2 League Cups and 11 UEFA competitions. It is the first Spanish football club to win the treble which is La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

Team shirts are blue and red and have never had corporate ads. In 2006 the club arranged to have the UNICEF logo on their shirts and also to donate €1.5 million per year to the charity, hoping to attract more donations to the cause.
