Racing Santander Wiki
The Spanish football clue Racing Santander (Real Racing Club de Santander, S.A.D.) was founded in 1913 and plays in La Liga. Its home games are held at Estadio El Sardinero, a stadium with a capacity to seat 22,400 spectators. Its first match in 1913 was a 1-2 loss against Strong when it was called Santander Racing Club. It eventually merged with the Santander Football Club, thus the name Racing Santander.
The team's colors are quite eye catching; their home colors are white shirts with green and black trim, black shorts and green and white socks. Away colors are black shirts and shorts with red and blue embellishments and black socks while third colors are grey shirts with yellow trim, yellow shorts with gray trim and white, gray and yellow socks.
Manager Hector Raul Cuper is a former Argentinean football defender, known for taking RCD Mallorca from a modest club to the final of the Copa del Rey and the final of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. He has coached Valencia CF, Real Betis, the Georgia national team and Aris Thessaloniki.
Racing Santander has played 44 seasons in La Liga, 32 seasons in Segunda Division, one season in Segunda Division B and 4 seasons in Tercera Division.
