Parma F.C. (Parma Football Club) is an Italian football team from Parma, Emilia-Romagna. Formed in 1913 by the Verdi Football Club, they are currently competing in Serie A in the 2011-12 season, after finishing 12th last year. They play their home matches at the stadium called Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The original colours worn by the club were yellow and blue paying homage to the city�s traditional colours. White shirts with a black cross were introduced a little later. The logo of the club makes use of both the old and new, using the city�s colours as well as white with a black cross.

Though Parma maintains competition with various regional and national clubs in the form of derbies, their main rivals are thought to be Juventus. Other close rivals are believed to be Cremonese.

This club suffered a lot of financial and corporate problems till in 2007, Tommaso Ghirardi became the owner and president. He hired Claudio Ranieri who proceeded to save them from relegation to Serie B. The next few years also had its ups and downs, with finishing eight in Serie A in 2009-10 and narrowly missing relegation in 2011.
