U.S. Citta di Palermo ( Unione Sportiva Citta di Palermo) is an Italian football club from Palermo, Sicily. Formed in 1900, this club was given various names, till they finally settled on the current one in 1987. Since their formation they have participated in all the professional ranks in Italy, taking part in Serie A several times in the period of 1960-70. After their return to Serie A in 2004, they have gained importance as one of the most prominent clubs in Italy, having provided valuable players to the team of Italy that won the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The players of Palermo are often referred to as rosenaro, which refers to their official colours of pink and black. They are also called aquile, which means eagle, the image of which graces their badge. Their home games are played at a stadium called Stadio Renzo Barbera.

The current club, managed by Delio Rossi, has quite a few talented individuals such as Ezequiel Mu�oz, Armin Bacinovic and Josip Ilicic. The season of 2010-11 also marked the return of Palermo in continental football, with their participation in UEFA Europa League. They reached their third Coppa Italia finals in 2011, however lost the top spot.
